Solid API, missing free tier
Mailgun was our go-to until they removed the free tier. The API is well-designed and reliable, but for small projects the $35/mo minimum is hard to justify.
Reliable for transactional at scale
We process 500k transactional emails daily through Mailgun. Uptime has been excellent and their log search is genuinely useful for debugging delivery issues. The lack of marketing features means we pair it with another tool.
